Olive Garden 3790 W 76 Country Blvd, Branson, MO 65616 ATTN: Store Manager In or around the first week of May 2023, I was requested to meet with a manager at the location of my employment. In that particular meeting, I was informed that a fellow employee had made an allegation stating I had "gun" in my purse. I believe this "allegation" to be completely false. The manager asked me "do you have a gun in your purse?" I replied "No, and I gave her permission to search my purse." She stated "That wasn't neccessary." The afforementioned "statement" bothered me as I, currently do not own a gun, nor have I ever. This completely false allegation gave me feelings of infuriority. Hopefully the fellow employee that created this "false allegation" about me doesn't believe, because I'm a black poor female living in an urban neighborhood, I automatically carry a firearm into my place of employment. This has affected me to the point I had to request permission to go home and process this. I felt and thought this was a 1-time occurance and had moved on from this hateful non-substantiated lie. On June 3, 2023, the non-verifiable falsehoods made by a fellow employee had not ceased. On this particular date I had spent time to prepare for my shift, and waiting on "uber" to arrive. Upon arriving at my place of employment, my manager "Ryan" approached me at the podium in the front of the store and requested me to follow him to the back of the store. I did as he requested. It was at the moment Ryan informed me "You are not allowed back to work as you are under "investigation" at this time. I felt this could had been conveyed to me via cell phone and/or text as they knew my financial situation. To add more flames to the fire, I was also informed that a co-worker stated I had a cup of "alcohol" at the front of the store on the podium where at least a 100 different people passed close by with no one mentioning anything all night. So, an investigation into my character is initiated by one vague unsubstantiated claim from and employee. No concrete facts, none. The facts are: (1) A cup was left at the front podium of the store with "no" alcohol in it. (2) The cup was thrown away the same night. (3) The night in question, I spoke frequently face to face with three different managers, and non mentioned the smell of alcohol (4) None of the regular customers I hug and talk to at length with mentioned alcohol (5) There was at least 1 hundred within a few feet from the podium of where alleged cup of alcohol was with no one say‌ing anything all night, this includes management. My character is under assault based on non-verified hear-say. How is an investigation initiated on this. Were the facts ever considered first? or am I automatically considered guilty? or do all Americans of color drink on the job with a gun in their possession? This may seem humorous but twice now an employee has been allowed to cause extreme distress to my psychic. This was done with no facts just vague, hollow, and fictional allegations, void of facts. I truly enjoyed being employed at the "Olive Garden" however, if I am not wanted there, just let me know. I do however, expect my check to be placed on my paycard immediately if I am terminated so that I can claim unemployment promptly. Sincerely, Toni D
